Eminem releases new single from MMLP2 titled Rap God

Blond Eminem

Eminem aka Marshall Mathers new single "Rap God" is produced by DVLP and he will be releasing his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, executively produced by the legends Dr.Dre and Rick Rubin on Nov.5.2013.
Let's see if this album can top his first Marshall Mathers LP at least artistically, cause by the numbers It's almost impossible. That is like topping the Thriller Album as today almost nobody buys CD's anymore like back in 2000 when the first Marshall Mathers LP album came out.

In 1999, Eminem released his first Album "The Slim Shady LP" on legendary Dr.Dre's record label Aftermath thru a partnership with Interscope. He was also featured on Dr.Dre's comeback album "2001" on tracks like "Forget about Dre" and "What's the Difference" and also credited for writing the lyrics to the track "The Watcher" among others.

In 2000, Eminem released the first "The Marshall Mathers LP" which was a huge success, both commercially and critically. It spawned hits like "The Real Slim Shady", "The Way I Am" and "Stan".
This album made Eminem Dr.Dre's greatest protege since Snoop Dogg and unlike Dr.Dre neither one of them came Straight Outta Compton, Snoop comes from Long Beach, CA and Eminem from Detroit, MI.

To refresh your memory on the first Marshall Mathers LP:

The album sold more than 1.76 million copies in the US in the first week alone, becoming the fastest-selling studio album by any solo artist in American music history.[6] In 2001, the album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and was nominated for Album of the Year. The album was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2011 for shipping 10 million copies in the United States.[7][8] Since its release in 2000, the album sold 10,598,000 copies in the US and more than 21 million copies worldwide.[9]
The Marshall Mathers LP has been ranked as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time by Rolling Stone,[10] Time,[11] and XXL.[12][13] Rolling Stone placed the album at number 7 on its list of the best albums of the 2000s.[14] The album was ranked number 244 by Rolling Stone on their list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.[15] In 2010, Rhapsody ranked it number 1 on their "The 10 Best Albums by White Rappers" list.[16]
